Set-up changing

This is the process of changing the settings of processing machines, jigs, and equipment to match the products to be flowed on the production line, and is also called "model changeover. Setup changeover includes adjusting and changing standards, switching assembly parts and materials, as well as confirming work details, training, and cleaning workers prior to production. The time required for setup changeover is called "setup changeover time," and setup changeover is divided into "internal setup," in which equipment is stopped, and "external setup," in which equipment is not stopped.
