Do you have any of these problems?

  • The accuracy of the machine has deteriorated, but the engineers want to keep the machine they are used to using.
  • When we purchase a new machine, we have to replace all the tools and jigs that we purchased for our existing equipment, which is a huge cost burden. We want to maintain and use the existing machines somehow.
  • We want to maintain the existing facilities before moving them to overseas factories.
  • Since we are not sure if the current orders will continue, we want to maintain and continue to use the existing idle machines to reduce costs.
  • The old model machine had better rigidity and more stable machining. I want to continue using the old model after maintenance.

Shiozawa's assembly technology, built up over many years, makes even used machines as good as new again.

  • We are capable of overhauling not only machine tools but also all kinds of machines from industrial machines to special purpose machines
  • Our engineers can solve problems such as defective accuracies and frequent failures.
  • Superior "Accuracy generation technologies" revives the accuracy and stability of the machine.
  • Any worn-out parts /components can be restored to be as good as new

We offer direct overhaul services by skilled personnel who know the field and are familiar with the machines.

For many years, Shiozawa engineers have been going to the factories of various manufacturers to provide production and assembly support.
By continuing to work without limiting themselves to a specific site, the engineers have been able to absorb a wide range of technologies and knowledge necessary for machines and are able to respond flexibly. Shiozawa Kougyou's ability to respond to any manufacturers regardless of manufacturer, type of product, or age has been built up over many years of experience in this field.

We have the experience and techniques to revive any machines no matter how old they are.

Sliding surfaces are not only applied with the "Kisage (scraping)" process, which is essential to achieve high accuracy, but also  the regrinding process according to the amount of wear on the slide. In addition, slides with turcite lamination will also be re-applied. Furthermore we can also maintain the attached loading & unloading equipments.

Cost advantages can also be achieved by maintaining and utilizing existing and used machines.

Purchasing new equipment due to an increase in orders can be a good opportunity to expand the scale of your business, but it can also be risky.
If you are unsure about purchasing new machines due to unstable orders, you can use idle machines or purchase secondhand machines and maintain them.
These choices are also in line with the current trend in terms of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

Overhaul Procedure

The overhaul process is as follows.

  1. 1 ) Inquiries

    Please contact us first.
Please inform us of the maker, model, type, and date of manufacture of the machine to be overhauled.

  2. 2 ) On-site inspection and meeting

On-site inspection and meeting depending on the contents
In the case of complex machines, our engineers will inspect the current condition of the target machines.

  3. 3 ) Negotiation

After the on-site inspection, we will discuss the price, delivery date (an official construction schedule will be submitted at a later date), target accuracy of restoration, etc.

  4. 4 ) Disassembly and cleaning of the subject machine

After the machine is delivered to our factory, it is disassembled and cleaned.
This may be done at the customer's plant at the customer's request.

  5. 5 ) Inspection

After disassembly, the internal conditions are checked again to figure out whether or not additional work or parts are required.
The results are reported to the customer for approval.

  6. 6 ) Check the parts

Normally, manufacturer-specific parts will be arranged by the customer.
If additional parts are required, we will manage the overall delivery date while confirming the price and delivery date.

  7. 7 ) Machining

After dismantling, if it is found that the amount of wear on the sliding surface is too large to be removed by the scraping process, the sliding surface will need to be re-ground.

  8. 8 ) Recoating

    Option

Recoating is an option, but can be done if needed.

  9. 9 ) Assembly

We will check for accuracy during assembly and make assembly adjustments so that the target accuracy is achieved with the Kisage (Scraping) process.

  10. 10 ) Inspection and operation check

We will align the machine to operate at the target accuracy and report the achieved accuracy to the customer in the accuracy chart.

  11. 11 ) Trial run

Checking the operation of the entire machine

  12. 12 ) Shipping

    Shipping to the customer's factory
If necessary, we can arrange for heavy machinery.

  13. 13 ) Delivery and trial run

After delivery and installation at the customer's plant, we will conduct a trial run of the machine to confirm if it meets the agreed-upon accuracy level. Final meeting will be held with the customer after the work report is made.
