A saddle is one of the components of a machine tool, and is a platform that straddles the guideway surface of a bed (a platform with a guideway surface that constitutes the machine body) or knee (a platform on which a table, saddle, etc. are placed and moved up and down along the guideway surface of the column) in various types of machine tools.
