A hoist-type crane is a two-dimensional motion hoist-type crane that raises and lowers a load with a hoist and moves a line along a runway (horizontal rail). There are two types of overhead hoist cranes, top-running type and suspension type, depending on how the runway is attached to the building or the type of the saddle, and they are generally called "hoist overhead cranes.
