Assembly drawing

An assembly drawing is a drawing that shows the finished shape of a manufactured item or work of art, or a drawing that explains how to assemble it.  Assembly drawings are also called "assembly drawings," "assy drawings," or "assembly diagrams." Three-dimensional projections are generally used for assembly drawings, and are shown in three directions: front view, Top view, and side view. Other views, such as projections and cross sections, may be added as necessary.
